Color on my Nokia N9 is chipping away, peeling at the edges.

As written in one of the previous posts, Nokia N9 has a polycarbonate unibody housing. Thus, it should not be chipping, i.e. if it does chip, there will not be any discoloration, because there is no difference in color between the housing's "layer" and the "meat".

Basically, there is not supposed to be any coating on the polycarbonate housing. If that is the case, you might be looking at a fake, or 3rd party housing made of cheap painted plastic. Unfortunately, as it turns out sometimes, the whole phone might be fake.

If you are thinking of buying a Nokia N9, make sure to check for visible discoloration, that could be a flag up.
